The use of video is important to establish techniques and confidence that still's imaging lacks. The idea is not to produce a perfect rounded video, but to help produce more confidence, range and provide a talking point to future work.

Later more advanced video can be completed.

James [13] above was given the task of making a 2 minute improvised piece on being 13 and remembering when he was 6 and acting it out. This was the first take.

Inclusion of video has become important because of the rise of the self tape as the casting application - a video produced by the actor simply often with an i phone.

There are some important rules to making a self tape and understanding it is not an audition tape or a form of showreel.

Video produced by act4ward is provided to the actor normally in unedited form with edited versions made later.
